Gold Coast Physio and Sports Health

Honestly, I don’t know where to start with Gold Coast Physio and Sports Health, because the amount of help they have provided me with over the last few years has been incredible. I knew when I moved to the Gold Coast that I needed to find a clinic I could trust and count on, because niggles and injuries in triathlon are prevalent. Flash forward a few years, and I couldn’t have worked through the injuries I’ve had without people who seriously know what they are doing.

Firstly, I’m lucky enough to have worked with Britt Caling over the years. She is a physiotherapist who literally finds a solution to every problem, and runs Gold Coast Physio and Sports Health alongside her husband Albie Firley. They are lovely people, and Britt has worked with me through every injury I’ve had and kept me sane through the process. That’s no easy feet.

The friendliness of Britt and Albie extends through the clinic to the other physiotherapists I’ve worked with, to those I see for regular massages, and of course the ladies at the front desk. Every time I arrive I’m greeted with the biggest smiles and they’ll always work a way to fit me it.

Gold Coast Physio and Sports Health have clinics in Burleigh and Runaway Bay, and the list of services they provide is lengthy! From physio, massage, dietetics, psychology and podiatry to pilates, exercise testing, an Alter G treadmill and cycle and triathlon studio, they have your needs covered. Plus, their therapists are providers to numerous sports and elite athletes including Triathlon Australia, Swimming Australia, Athletics Australia, The Queensland Academy of Sport, The Australian Institute of Sport, and more.

I know first hand that you can put all the effort you want into training, but unless you put just as much effort into your recovery as well, you’re not going to get anywhere! So weekly massages is a must and physio quick smart if any niggle arises. I go to GCPSH for these services because I have the upmost trust in them and they seriously know what they are doing. They keep me (and countless other athletes) in one piece, and when I do break down, they put me back together stronger each time.

If you want to know more, and there is a whole lot more, check out their website. They cater for everyone, so no matter if you’re an elite athlete, a weekend warrior or if you don’t even do sport and have a niggle, they will sort you out.
